Rudy Stop Your Messin Round
The New York Post has waged war on Rudy. They say his closet, which holds the skeletons, is a walk-in. KT finds this to be strikingly humorous. KT doesn't think Daddy Dick would have voted for Rudy to be national insurance salesman. He annulled his first marriage after 14 years on grounds that his wife was his 2nd cousin. What a joke. KT hearts Huckabee.
See Rudy's theme song.

Gary Hart Award
Your vote please, which Republican candidate is likely to implode first:
Guiliani
Romney
McCain
The irrelevant list - until the first or second implosion:
Brownback
Huckabee
Fred Thompson
Tommy Thompson
Which makes me wonder how powerful a Thompson Thompson ticket could be. One draws in the South. The other draws the Upper Midwest. Fred and Tommy to run the country, please.

Best of the banter
The Politico reports:
The Limbaugh Name Lives On
Derailed in the last Congress, a bill was approved by the Senate Friday to name a federal courthouse in Cape Girardeau, Mo., after Rush Hudson Limbaugh Sr., grandfather of the conservative radio host.
The elder Limbaugh, who held senior posts in the American Bar Association, was a legend in Cape Girardeau, practicing law for nearly 80 years until his death in 1996 at 104. In the 1950s, he also served as a special envoy to India.
The Limbaugh bill, which was introduced by Rep. Jo Ann Emerson (R-Mo.) with bipartisan support from the Missouri congressional delegation, now goes to President Bush for his approval.
http://www.politico.com/blogsThe Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, Peter Pace, condemns homosexuality as immoral. KT could opine on all the reason why gays are leading the Iraqi insurgency but a commenter on a NYT blog pretty much nailed it:
Our homophobic military vents through homoerotic cruelty. Read: Abu Gharib.

One more
Sen. Chuck Hagel (R (although he hates all the crooked bastards that caucus with him) NE) is expected to announce his Presidential candidacy tomorrow. KT can only help but think this is good for democracy and Prairie Populism. It's not clear if Hagel's cross is gold but it's clear that there's one to bear.
Bob Kerrey, if you're listening and can pull your head out of the Manhattan clouds for a second, join Sen. Hagel to form the first all Nebraska presidential ticket.
